The Process
Register for placenta encapsulation service at HERE. If you have questions or concerns, please call (337) 704-7256 or email.
Once you've filled out the registration form & submitted it, you will receive an email with your quote, and links to your service agreement and invoice to pay a $25 deposit.
2. PLACENTA TRANSPORT KIT
Your deposit pays for a specially designed placenta transport kit that you pack in your birth bag. Tell your nurse or midwife you want to keep your placenta once you are in labor and give them the transport kit to pack up your placenta. It keeps your placenta at safe temperature until pick up.
4. PLACENTA ENCAPSULATION
Once your placenta has been picked up, it is taken to a dedicated placenta lab that has been board-approved along with all of the equipment used. Your placenta has a special tag that stays with it each step of the way. It takes 2-3 days to complete the process. Proper protective gear is worn and the highest safety protocols are always practiced.
5. PLACENTA PACKAGE DROPOFF
Once the process is complete and the package finished, we come to you, wherever that is. We sit with you and explain everything about taking your placenta capsules. You receive your capsules, an information booklet we published, your cord keepsake, and your soft ice chest.
3. PLACENTA PICKUP
In the kit, you'll find the name and number of your placenta specialist. Call or text that you're ready for pick up and she will come to you as soon as possible.
6. CONSULT ANYTIME
We are here for you anytime during your postpartum. Should you have any questions about your capsules, breastfeeding, baby care, or simply need some encouragement or deeper help — you have access to call or text your placenta specialist! We are part of your postpartum team and want to help in any way we can.
